With roots in a largely immigrant community in La Puente, East Los Angeles, Eddie transferred to ºÙºÙÊÓƵ from Sacramento City College. Here, he began community organizing to address racial and economic inequalities, which became his life work through PICO California.

"My experience with the Chicanx/Latinx department and with Hermanos Macehual student organization is what led me to be successful in my career after I graduated, working to give all students better access to education."
