Lauren Godla, ºÙºÙÊÓƵ alum, will be one of the new artists in residence at Redwood National and State Parks. Godla graduated from ºÙºÙÊÓƵ in 2012 with a degree in Exercise Biology and a minor in Dance. She is now located in the Bay Area. Some of her well known work includes co-directing and performing in FloorPlay Dance Comedy, choreographing for Theater Bay Area award-winning production, and touring nationally with BANDALOOP. In 2021, Godla founded DiRT & Glitter, an environmental art organization that produces site-specific productions.

Helia Pouyanfar: Announced for Richmond Biennial Exhibition

Inspired by her cultural background of Iran, Helia Pouyanfar’s sculptures and research  aim to illustrate and investigate the transient state of refugee bodies. She received her MFA at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ.

Richmond Art Center announced the seven artists selected to present work in Right Here, Right Now, Richmond. In its third iteration, this biennial exhibition celebrates local, visionary art and ideas through commissioning new artwork from artists who either live or work in Richmond, California.
