Fashion show returns in person
Vibrant fashion created by design students returns to the 嘿嘿视频 campus on Picnic Day when the Fashion and Design Society, or FADS, takes its annual fashion show outdoors. 鈥淧rism,鈥 this year鈥檚 show, will be staged at the new Cruess Hall Makerspace Courtyard on April 23 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The show will feature fashion created and executed by 11 Department of Design undergraduate students in the Signature Collections course.
鈥淭his year we celebrate our return to a live event, our first since 2019,鈥 said Gozde Goncu-Berk, assistant professor of design. 鈥淭his year鈥檚 collections will display a wide range of concepts 鈥 from sustainability, minimalism, craftsmanship to cultural diversity 鈥 merged into aesthetic qualities of more than 30 outfits.鈥
Ingrid Yeung, president of FADS, said she is pleased to return to an in-person event.
鈥淲e wanted to showcase the new Department of Design spaces and move the event outdoors to be a visible part of Picnic Day,鈥 said Yeung.
In addition to the fashion show, the audience will be invited inside the new Cruess Hall Makerspace to view an exhibition highlighting research, renderings and creation of each collection.
A limited number of discounted tickets at $10 are on sale through April 16. Thereafter tickets are $12 for general admission. The show typically sells out quickly.

The Cruess Hall exhibition will be open to all Picnic Day participants at 2 p.m. after the second show. A show video will be available later in the day on the .

Please note: To accommodate as many visitors as possible, there will be two areas outside the museums for your bags, skateboards, Picnic Day swag, and other large items. Stroller parking will be available as well.
