Design students stage pop-up show
Graduate design students will create a at the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art today, Dec. 6 from noon to 9 p.m. as part of the yearlong Campus Community Book Project featuring The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu with Douglas Abrams.
TANA features art exhibition starting Friday
, the Woodland outreach center of the Chicana and Chicano studies department, will feature an art exhibition by Jose Arenas, associate director and chief curator of TANA. An opening reception will be held Dec. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. and the exhibition of paintings and prints will remain on display until Feb. 1.
MFA.s on display in the Basement Gallery
showcases art by ٺƵ M.F.A students Dec. 1-16 in the Basement Gallery. Throughout the duration of the show, there will be a series of lectures given by selected graduates. The lectures will vary in topic and will aim to educate visitors on what the MFA program is like, what the featured works address, and other topics that the graduates may want to discuss. A brief Q/A will follow each talk where audience members are encouraged to ask the graduates questions about their work.There will be an opening reception with refreshments on Dec. 6 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m
