Announcements
November 26 — An email announced that all requests for extra tickets for commencement have been approved and shared some other helpful information.
- Tickets: Graduates can log into the to see the approval of their request for extra tickets. Tickets will be emailed to graduates by December 5.
- Caps and gowns: Academic regalia is mandatory for graduates. or email questions to gradsupplies@ucdavis.edu.
- Grad card: Graduates will receive instructions to download and print the card when they receive their guest tickets. The printed card will be used to announce the graduate’s name when they cross the stage.
- Parking: Graduates and guests are encouraged to park in the . Parking is complimentary but does require registration. A video with instructions for registration is on the .
- Guest arrival: Doors will open one hour before the ceremony. Guest tickets, required for entrance, are general admission.
- Graduate arrival: Graduates should arrive one hour before the ceremony with their printed grad card in hand and cap and gown on but unzipped. Report to the Southeast (SE) lower level entrance tunnel of the University Credit Union Center. Go down the outside stairs and through the inside tunnel leading to the graduation floor. There will be opportunities for photos and interactions with faculty before the ceremony begins. Graduates with limited mobility concerns should contact their commencement coordinator.
- Mobility assistance, limited mobility seating for guests: Shuttle assistance from the Pavilion Parking Structure to the University Credit Union Center is available, and the center has ample limited mobility seating for guests, including those using wheelchairs. Ushers at the entrance will be available to direct guests to the limited mobility seating. No advance request is necessary for the shuttle assistance or limited mobility seating. The university does not provide wheelchairs.
- Photography: On-stage photos and individual portraits of graduates will be available for purchase from Pro Pics, the official commecement photographer, following the ceremony. . There is no cost to have your photo taken and no obligation to purchase. Guests may take photos from their seats or from the designated photo areas. Tripods are not allowed into the center.
October 28 — An email to students who have registered for commencement highlights that a ºÙºÙÊÓƵ cap and gown are required to participate in commencement. These items can be rented through the through 9 p.m. PT on November 6. A $15 late fee will be added to orders placed from November 7 to December 13.
The email also encourages out-of-town guests to reserve accommodations as soon as possible.
October 24 — The , also known as Aggies Helping Aggies, offers the Cap & Gown Award to help graduating students have access to regalia for commencement. Up to 50 awards are available for Fall Commencement. Applications, accepted through the , close Nov. 11.
October 16 — Students who have completed 140 units of degree-applicable credit as of the end of the summer quarter were emailed an invitation on October 16 to participate in Fall Commencement on December 14, 2024. Students must register to participate. Registration opens October 21 and closes December 2.
