Starting today, March 18, most performing and visual arts events and exhibitions on the ºÙºÙÊÓƵ campus are canceled through the academic year all the way until June. Ticket holders of paid events will be refunded in full.
The decisions by the for the Performing Arts; the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem ; the ; the ºÙºÙÊÓƵ departments of music, theater and dance, and design; the College of Letters and Science; and other holders of these events align with guidance from the state of California, the university and the Centers for Disease Control.
The Mondavi Center and have canceled events scheduled through June. The Manetti Shrem Museum has closed its museum until further notice and has canceled scheduled events through April 7. The C.N. Gorman Museum is closed and has canceled events until further notice, as has the Design Museum. ºÙºÙÊÓƵ (Taller Arte del Nuevo Amanecer) in Woodland canceled its events last week and is closed until further notice.
Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts
The Mondavi Center is in the process of contacting ticket holders for the affected performances, which are featured on its website. In addition to refunds, the Mondavi Center is offering the ability to make donations or keep the money on account toward next season.
It has closed its ticket office windows at this time but will continue to communicate via phone and email.
The Mondavi is building its 2020-21 season now and hopes to announce its next season in May.
Department of Music
Choruses, orchestra and bands will reschedule repertoire and visiting musicians, as able, to one of their existing future dates in 2020–21. Other events will be rescheduled when possible. Ticket holders to concerts in April, May and June will automatically be given a refund. Those who have questions about their particular tickets should contact the Mondavi Center's Ticket Office via email at tickets@ucdavis.edu. They ask that you please have the order number ready and allow for some processing time.
Manetti Shrem Museum
All events through April 7 have been canceled, and the museum is closed until further notice. The staff is planning for future events and exhibitions and welcoming visitors back as soon it’s advisable. Reopening plans will be shared at or on the museum’s .
Departments of Theatre and Dance, Design
The annual Picnic Day Fashion Show is canceled (along with the cancellation of Picnic Day in April) and may be rescheduled, and the Alberini Family Speaker Series Lecture in May is canceled. Other events are under consideration at this time for converting to online events or cancellation.
