Naomi worked at 嘿嘿视频 Continuing and Professional Education her junior and senior years of college as an assistant for the Center for Program Innovation, where her job was primarily researching demand for certain skills and other continuing education programs to see how 嘿嘿视频 Continuing and Professional Education compares.
Once she graduated, Naomi decided to take a break before applying to graduate school and (after expressing her interest in staying at 嘿嘿视频 Continuing and Professional Education) was offered a full-time position as a public education specialist. Now, Naomi splits her time between two programs. She is the program coordinator for the 嘿嘿视频 Pre-College Program, a summer program for high school students looking for a taste of the 鈥渃ollege experience,鈥 and she helps manage .
鈥淢y main responsibilities include student management, communicating with instructors, and conducting research that will help expand our existing programs and provide the best education to our students,鈥 she said.
Naomi says her favorite part about her job is the opportunities for learning and professional coaching. 鈥満俸偈悠 Extension has such a supportive and collaborative work environment. I feel comfortable asking questions and taking on greater responsibilities because I know I will be given the tools to succeed.鈥
Sam Price graduated from 嘿嘿视频 in June 2016 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Sam started as an IT help desk assistant in June 2015 at 嘿嘿视频 Continuing and Professional Education, and as he was finishing his degree, a full-time computer resource specialist position became vacant, and he 鈥渓eapt at the opportunity to apply.鈥 After landing the job, Sam is now responsible for supporting all 嘿嘿视频 Continuing and Professional Education staff with any computer needs, managing the division鈥檚 computer and AV inventory, maintaining network equipment and writing code for 嘿嘿视频 Continuing and Professional Education鈥檚 reporting website. Sam a real talent and affinity for working with people.
鈥淭he best part of the day is when I can go above and beyond to make somebody鈥檚 day better. The people here are the best part of working here,鈥 he said.
