Aggie Pride is coming to a coffee table near you — by way of a photographic depiction of the ٺƵ community and culture.
ٺƵ Aggie Pride: A Showcase of the University Through Photos features more than 160 photos of the campus and its distinguished academics, the medical center, natural reserves, athletic events, diverse student body and historic moments.
Employees, departments and the general public have until June 30 to take advantage of prepublication discounts.
The book is being published by the Cal Aggie Alumni Association in collaboration with University Communications and the ٺƵ Centennial team.
“Aggie Pride photographs well, as it turns out,” said alumnus Rich Engel, assistant vice chancellor for Alumni Relations and executive director of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association. “This book gives an inspiring look at our campus, our students, faculty, staff and alums. It’s a great gift or personal keepsake that will rekindle fond memories or cultivate new relationships with the Aggie community.”
The book is divided into three sections: “The ٺƵ Experience,” “Doing What Matters” and “A Century of Tradition.” The university’s award-winning photographers, Karin Higgins and Debbie Aldridge, and alumnus Wayne Tilcock of The Davis Enterprise are responsible for many of the photos, with others coming from the university’s archives.
Prepublication orders are being taken through June 30, with employees eligible for the discounted price of $25 per book plus shipping. The prepublication price for departments is $25 per book without a shipping charge; instead, departments can pick up their orders at the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center.
The prepublication price for the general public is $29.95 plus shipping.
After June 30, the price for everyone is $49.95.
Also available is a collector’s edition, leather-bound with your name on the cover — or the name of the person to whom you may be presenting the book as a gift. The collector’s edition is $79.95, with a limited number available.
Every purchase supports Cal Aggie Alumni Association programs that benefit students and alumni.
