Asian, Asian American Film Festival at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ

May 2 to 13 -- Seven feature presentations depicting Asian and Asian American cultures and issues will be screened during the second annual Asian American Association Film Festival at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ. The evening program includes "TaeGukGi" and "Infernal Affairs," fictional dramas purchased for distribution or remaking in the United States. Two documentaries, "Wet Sand" and "Second Class Veterans," present the struggle of Asian Americans for social justice. The Asian American Association, a student group, presents the film festival to promote cultural awareness and empower Asian Americans. About 10 short films made by ºÙºÙÊÓƵ students will be shown in a competition on the final night of the festival. For more information, visit or e-mail film@davisaaa.org.
