The assembly has long given out scholarships to staff members, but never to dependents. The new scholarships are limited to dependents who are enrolled at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ.

Money for the new scholarships comes from fundraising efforts associated with the annual Thank Goodness for Staff celebration. Therefore, Staff Assembly decided to start a new fund for dependent scholarships.

The Staff Assembly meeting agenda also includes a talk by Karen Hull, interim associate vice chancellor for Human Resources. Staff Assembly announced that light refreshments will be served during the meeting, and prizes will be raffled.
