In its 23rd year, Dateline ºÙºÙÊÓƵ is graduating — from our weekly print and online versions, to online exclusively, with a new and improved website, updated more frequently.
The move by University Communications is a cost-cutting measure, for sure, but also acknowledgement that the Web provides a way for us to get the news out faster, without the early deadlines required for the print edition and without the limitation of coming out only once a week.
The last printed edition of Dateline comes out next Friday, April 30. After that, we will begin updating the Dateline website as often as necessary to keep up with the news.
And we will continue to coordinate with Friday Update, also produced by University Communications, to provide links to some of the stories on the Dateline website. Our weekly Friday Update e-mail, which we launched just over two years ago, has proven to be a convenient, popular vehicle for campus news and directives, as well as research stories and features.
We hope you keep up with Dateline via Friday Update, and by regularly checking the entire Dateline website for more news of interest to faculty and staff.
