Take a splash and beat the heat by exploring the various aquatic programs that the ٺƵ Rec Pool has to offer this summer — some new, some old and some improved.
The ٺƵ Campus Recreation Aquatics Unit will be offering a revamped version of their yearly summer youth swim lessons.
“Before, we targeted elementary students aged 5 to 8, but this year we’ve expanded the scope to reach from less than a year old to 15,” Aquatics Coordinator Jocelyn Morgan said about the program. Registration is now open for youth and student swim lessons through the .
The ٺƵ Rec Pool will also continue to offer lap swim hours, open to all students, faculty, staff and community members with the purchase of a Rec Pool Summer Membership or Summer Pass. This classic program is a fan favorite and saw over 10,000 participants last summer. Passes are available to purchase until Sept 22. Single-day passes are $5, but weekly, monthly and full-summer memberships are also available for those who are interested in using the pool more often.
, a unit of Campus Recreation, will be offering low-cost excursions and programs for those who want to hone their adventurous side. Registration through the Rec Portal for summer rafting lessons is , and reservations are also available now for at the Rec Pool every Wednesday night.
More activities are planned for specific age groups. Water comfortability classes for young children will be taking place this summer. is a Campus Recreation unit that will offer summer fitness programs for all members ages 55 and up.
