The Office of the President and Healthy ٺƵ are collaborating on a program to improve drinking water access on the Davis and Sacramento campuses. In addition to mapping existing water stations, the Healthy Beverage Initiative is planning to install several new water stations, as part of a long-term campus infrastructure project.

The HBI project team needs your input. But hurry, the deadline for responses is Friday, Jan. 10.

●︎ &Բ;— Free biometric screenings for ٺƵ staff and faculty 18 and older. Screenings include cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, height, weight and waist circumference with consultation. ●︎ Mindful Awareness Practices Course — Learn how to develop a personal mindfulness meditation practice that can promote health and well-being. This course is designed to prepare you to apply mindfulness in daily life, through lectures, experiential exercises and group discussions in a supportive community environment. This class is suitable for those who are new to mindfulness as well as those who would like to revitalize their practice. The class will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on six Wednesdays, Jan. 8-Feb. 19 (excluding Jan. 15). Participants must be able to attend all six sessions and be willing to complete online surveys for a potential research study associated with this course. ●︎ Midday Mindfulness Meditation — To manage stress and promote well-being. Open to all experience levels. Four drop-in sessions: 12:10-12:50 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 9-Feb. 6 (excluding Jan. 16), 3001 . (look for "Midday Mindfulness Meditation" under Upcoming Events).
