A Christmas-themed flamenco show and American Bach Soloists' presentation of Handel's Messiah are coming to the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, as part of the center's 2008-09 presenting season. The center is being rented for two other holiday shows.
All performances are set to take place in Jackson Hall.
• Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra: Home for the Holidays—With candlelit processions, audience singalongs, new and familiar holiday tunes, and good cheer. 2 and 8 p.m. Dec. 13.
• Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana: Navidad Flamenca—The Spanish dance company from New York City presents a rare look at holiday fiestas, flamenco style. 3 p.m. Dec. 14.
• American Bach Soloists: Messiah—ºÙºÙÊÓƵ music professor Jeffrey Thomas leads this choral group. 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20.
• Chanticleer: A Chanticleer Christmas—A blend of Medieval and Renaissance sacred works, traditional carols and moving spirituals. 5 p.m. Dec. 21.
