Caltrans continues its outreach about the agency’s Yolo 80 Corridor improvement project, announcing an information meeting will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Galleria Room of
“Through the addition of additional bus/carpool lanes, bike/pedestrian crossings, improved signing and striping, and rehabilitation work, we look to improve mobility across this impacted corridor,” Caltrans officials say on the .
“Caltrans is planning these improvements in response to increasing travel need along I-80 that has created severe traffic congestion and impaired mobility along the route. The project’s primary goals are to improve traffic flow, increase safety, improve travel time reliability and reduce vehicle emissions.”
Officials are welcoming comments to help shape the development and design of the various proposed improvements. The project schedule shows the process of environmental review starting in January, and construction beginning in late 2024.
