University Outreach and International Programs announced a brown bag workshop: Research Funding Opportunities with Europe.
The free program is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in the Institute of Governmental Affairs Reading Room, 360 Shields Library. The organizers are asking for RSVPs by Jan. 8; to RSVP, send an e-mail to uoipfacultyresources@ucdavis.edu.
Organizers said the workshop will provide an introduction to the major research funding programs available from the European Union, as well as an overview of opportunities with Germany and France.

• Laurent Bochereau, counselor, head of Science, Technology and Education, European Commission Delegation to the USA — Providing an introduction to the European Union’s research funding opportunities available to ºÙºÙÊÓƵ faculty, researchers, postdoctoral scholars and graduate students.
• Leslie Harlson, West Coast information officer, Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (German Academic Exchange Service) Information Center, San Francisco — Outlining DADD's various programs available to faculty, researchers, postdoctoral scholars and graduate students.
• Michelle Bertho, program coordinator, France Berkeley Fund, UC Berkeley — Providing information on seed money available for innovative, binational research projects.
