Lecture Looks at Support Systems in K-12 Schools

May 10, Monday -- The design of support systems for K-12 mathematics teachers and school administrators will be the topic of a ºÙºÙÊÓƵ lecture by Philip Uri Treisman of the University of Texas at Austin. The mathematics professor directs the , a university research unit that works to support education leaders and policy-makers in strengthening Texas education. His research and professional interests include mathematics and science education; education policy related to equity, school finance and accountability systems; and community service and volunteerism. Treisman's lecture is part of the Distinguished Educational Thinkers Seminar Series presented by the and the at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ. It begins at 5:15 p.m. in the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center.
