Joe Goode Performance Group: Wonderboy and 29 Effeminate Gestures In Wonderboy, “fearless innovator” Goode integrates dancers and puppets (in collaboration with puppeteer Basil Twist), presenting the tale of a peculiar superhero, one who is isolated by his gift of sensitivity. Goode also pre-sents his 12-minute solo piece, 29 Effeminate Gestures. Co-sponsored by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center. 8 p.m. Feb. 24-26, Vanderhoef Studio The-atre. Postperformance question-and-answer session each night.

Violinist Joshua Bell — The one-time child prodigy is in his 30s now, and among the most respected classical and chamber musicians in the world. He is known for his stellar recordings and his performance in the film The Red Violin. Also, Mondavi Center audiences know him for his direct, personal interpretations in previous concerts here. For this concert, he is joined by Jeremy Denk on piano. 8 p.m. Feb. 27, Jackson Hall.
