ORCHESTRA, CONCERT BAND AND CHORUS
嘿嘿视频 concertgoers have two opportunities in the next two weeks to hear Beethoven鈥檚 Gloria from Missa solemnis, as performed by the Symphony Orchestra and University Chorus. The first performance is planned during the orchestra鈥檚 Nov. 23 concert, the second during a Dec. 5 choral event. Sandwiched in between is the University Concert Band鈥檚 fall concert. SYMPOSIUM AND LECTURE
The UC Davis Symphony Orchestra's Golden Jubilee Gala is under way, with the 50th anniversary concert set for Nov. 23 and a free symposium two days before and a free lecture the day after.
The Department of Music announced that David Cairns, the Samuel Johnson Prize-winning author of Berlioz: The Making of an Artist 1803-1832 and Berlioz: Servitude and Greatness 1832-1869, will deliver the Nov. 24 lecture, "Humor in Music," and participate in the Nov. 21 symposium, Perspectives on the Philharmonic Society.
