Pat Turner, vice provost for undergraduate studies, talked about “what every beginning UC teacher should know” at the New Faculty Workshop in the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center on Sept. 21. The all-day workshop, “Strategies for Building a Successful Academic Career,” included wide-ranging discussions on academic personnel process, dossier evaluation, shared governance, communications, the faculty code of conduct, the Principles of Community, instructional technology and the work-life program.
