BIKING

The Sacramento region is celebrating May as Bike Month, during which people are encouraged to ride their bicycles to and from work and around town, for errands and for pleasure and exercise.

Riders, including those in Yolo County, are invited to log their miles at , to compete for prizes and to help the region achieve its goal of 1 million miles of bicycle travel in May. The region's cyclists logged about 930,000 miles last year.

Bicycle commuters in and around Davis are invited to a free Bike-to-Work Breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. May 14 at Central Park, Third and C streets.

ºÙºÙÊÓƵ' Sacramento campus is organizing Bike to Work Day on May 15. Check The Insider and Weekly Update for details.

WALKING

Aggies on the Move spring quarter group walks start at 12:15 p.m., with new member registration at noon before each walk. The departure points and dates:

Research Park, breezeway between ºÙºÙÊÓƵ Extension and the University Services Building in south Davis. May 13 and June 10.

Health Sciences District, south side of Tupper Hall. May 14 and June 11.

Memorial Union, flagpole on the south side. May 14 and June 11.

Mrak Hall, south entrance. June 12.
