The city of Davis invites the public to a workshop this Saturday (Nov. 2) to “help plan for the future of downtown.” Two initiatives are up for discussion:
Downtown Davis Specific Plan, which will serve as a guide for long-term development and infrastructure in the area. The draft plan, which has been developed through a collaborative effort with the community, considers the many elements that can enhance Davis' quality of life.
Davis Amtrak Access and Connections Study, intended to identify opportunities to increase ridership, improve multimodal accessibility and enhance station safety.
The workshop will be from 1 to 4 p.m., with a brief presentation set for 1:30 p.m., in the Davis Community Church Fellowship Hall, 421 D St.
