March 11, Tuesday -- George R. Mangun, professor of psychology and neurology and director of the Center for Mind and Brain at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ will give a public lecture on "How the Brain Creates Human Experience." He will discuss how our brains help us understand the world around us, through our interactions with the world, reactions and thoughts. The talk will begin at 6 p.m. in the University Club Lounge on the ºÙºÙÊÓƵ campus, and is free and open to the public. It is part of Brain Awareness Week, an international effort to increase public awareness of brain research. Mangun's talk is sponsored by the campus chapter of the Society for Neuroscience, the Center for Neuroscience, and the Center for Mind and Brain at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ.
