RAPTOR CENTER FIELD TRIP

ºÙºÙÊÓƵ’ California Raptor Center announced a one-day field trip April 11 to take in the natural history of western Yolo County: rocks and flowers on the ground, and raptors in the air.

Wildlife enthusiasts of all levels and experience are welcome on this free adventure. Bring binoculars and magnifying lenses. And bring a lunch, too.

Participants will drive themselves or carpool. Departure time is 8:30 a.m. sharp from the raptor center. Return time is between 5 and 6 p.m.

Reservations: Call (530) 752-9994 and leave a message with your name, number of people in your party and a phone number.

Directions to the raptor center: Take the ºÙºÙÊÓƵ exit from Interstate 80 and turn south onto Old Davis Road. Cross the railroad tracks and continue until just before the Putah Creek bridge. Turn left onto the paved levee road. Follow it for two-tenths of a mile and keep on the pavement as the road veers left, taking you down off the levee. Then make a quick right turn into the free parking area.
