Everyone in the campus community is invited to the Winter Fitness Frenzy in Freeborn Hall.
Campus Recreation’s Fitness and Wellness program is putting on the event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 4 in association with the Alpine Ski and Snowboard sport club. All students, faculty, staff, alumni and other ºÙºÙÊÓƵ affiliates are welcome to attend. Admission is free, with no ARC membership or group fitness pass required. Not only that, but everyone who attends will receive a complimentary ARC day pass, organizers said.
The event will start with complimentary blood pressure and body composition testing.
The program also includes demonstrations of Campus Recreation dance offerings, including ballet, belly dance and hula hoop.
Everyone will be invited to participate in group exercise led by members of the Alpine Ski and Snowboard club. They plan a cardiovascular routine with a snowboarding and skiing style.
The club also plans to provide complimentary ski and snowboard waxing.
Raffle prizes include two instruction packages from Dodge Ridge (includes equipment rental and lift pass), a gift certificate from Ground Zero, knitted scarves from the Craft Center and group exercise passes.
