Sacramento Career Night is designed to showcase community resources for job-seekers and provide professional guidance on every aspect of landing a job from using social media for networking to writing an effective resume.
“Gain the skills, resources and confidence you need to land a job, even in a down economy,” reads a news release.
The event is free and takes place form 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Central Library Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, 828 I Street, Sacramento. Organizers note that parking is available for $5 in the garage attached to the library; enter on J street, they suggest.
A panel discussion, titled “Growing your Skills,” will include Carolyn Penny of ٺƵ Extension, Constance Stevens, a Davis career counselor who has served clients on campus, and a yet-to-be-named speaker from the Los Rios Community College District. Other presenters for the evening’s activities include human resource professionals, employment agents, career counselors and recruitment consultants.
