An international buffet lunch, entertainment, awards and more — this is how we soar for diversity during ٺƵ’ Soaring to New Heights celebration. This year’s event, the 26th annual, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, in .
Tickets
Soaring to New Heights tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, through April 8 or until sold out. None will be sold at the door. Tickets are available through the ٺƵ Ticket Office:
Department recharge — DaFIS account managers should place their orders by email to Linda Mijangos, lmijangos@ucdavis.edu. Orders should include number of tickets requested, date of pickup, the first and last name of the person who will retrieve the tickets, and account manager contact information (name, phone number and email address).
Individual ticket purchases — ; by phone, (530) 752-2471; or in person (the ticket office is at the ). Tickets are $6 each, by cash or check (payable to “UC Regents”) or personal credit card.
Only 600 tickets are available, and they’re on sale now. See box for details. “I hope you will join us in this exciting Principles of Community event,” said Rahim Reed, associate executive vice chancellor, who noted that release time with supervisory approval is appropriate.
Reed leads the Office of Campus Community Relations, which joins with the Staff Diversity Administrative Advisory Committee in sponsoring Soaring to New Heights.
The program includes an information fair with representatives from various departments and constituent groups, and the presentation of the Diversity and Principles of Community Achievement Recognition Awards for staff; the Disability Awareness Recognition Awards; and the Calvin E. Handy Leadership Award.
