Normally held in September, the , for 嘿嘿视频 instructors, is moving up to July.
鈥淒uring this time of remote teaching, we have re-envisioned SITT to meet current faculty needs over the summer, and to help us all prepare thoroughly for whatever the fall may bring us,鈥 said the institute鈥檚 host, Andy Jones, academic associate director, Academic Technology Services.
The institute will take place entirely online, Wednesday through Friday, July 22-24, although prerecorded faculty microtalks and presentations will be available starting July 20. The three-day institute later in the week will include a keynote, live webinars and daily debriefs during which faculty can meet and discuss takeaways with colleagues and staff.
Jones has issued a call for faculty presentations or webinars 鈥渂ased on your experiences and insights about teaching during the sudden shift to remote instruction and your plans for moving beyond the emergency.鈥 He鈥檚 also offering, as an alternative, to interview faculty members about their experiences.
To be considered, faculty members are asked to submit topic summary (50 to 100 words) and proposed format (prerecorded video, interview or live webinar) no later than June 1. The includes more information, including suggested topics.
