Runners, walkers, volunteers and others who want to support 嘿嘿视频 student scholarships are invited to rally for the second annual Stride for Aggie Pride 5K on campus on Sunday, May 18.
Participants who sign up through Friday, April 4, will receive a registration discount and be guaranteed availability of a custom-designed, high-performance running shirt.
The public event has gained status as one of the campus鈥檚 50 Aggie Traditions.
鈥淪tudents and staff created and are continuing the Stride for Aggie Pride as a fun way to raise funds for scholarships and promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, one that fosters mental and physical well-being,鈥 said Artem Trotsyuk. He founded the event in his final year as an undergraduate and now works as an interdisciplinary health fellow for Student Affairs.
In 2013, the Stride for Aggie Pride drew more than 1,700 participants and raised nearly $17,500 for scholarships offered through the Associated Students of 嘿嘿视频 and We Are Aggie Pride, a student-run organization that provides emergency funds for students in need.
The event will open at 9 a.m. with warm-up activities on the Quad, and the race is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. The 3.1-mile course will showcase the arboretum and other scenic areas. Strollers and pets are welcome.
After the race, the family-friendly event will include activities and information booths, live music and student performances. Registered participants will be eligible for prize drawings that include a Kaplan academic preparation course, merchandise from the San Francisco Giants, 嘿嘿视频 Stores apparel and more.

Early-bird registration: $5 for youth, ages 12 and under; $7 for students (including K-12, college, graduate and professional); and $20 for nonstudents. Registration after April 4 and through race day: $10 for youth, $15 for students and $30 for nonstudents. or in person at 嘿嘿视频 Stores' Downtown Store, Second and F streets, Davis.
Weekend parking is free on campus, with ample space available in Lot 5A (off Old Davis Road near the Wyatt Pavilion) and Lot 10 (at First Street and Old Davis Road). .
