The University of California, Davis, has been recognized as the sixth best public university in the United States by the rankings released today (Sept. 26).
Overall, ºÙºÙÊÓƵ is ranked 46th among all public and private universities in the United States, and is one of only eight public schools in the top 50.
The university scored 76.8 points out of a possible 100 overall in four categories.
ºÙºÙÊÓƵ achieved 33.2 points out of 40 for outcomes, 18.1 out of 30 for resources, 17 out of 20 for engagement and 8.4 out of 10 for environment.
The rankings took into consideration data from several sources and a survey of 200,000 students.
In other recent rankings, ºÙºÙÊÓƵ is also featured in the top 10:
- 10th this month among 629 schools in the . The Princeton Review chose the colleges based on "Green Rating" scores from 60 to 99. It used data from a survey of school administrators asking them to report on their school’s sustainability-related policies, practices and programs. ºÙºÙÊÓƵ received high marks for, among other things, easy access to outdoor activities; free, convenient bus systems and bicycle paths that make it convenient to get around without a car.
