Children’s Hospital Toy Drive

Each year, the Children’s Hospital raises money to provide holiday gifts to every child spending the holiday season in their hospital. The annual toy drive event, running now through Dec. 24, also helps the hospital keep toys, crafts, books and electronics in stock year-round. These materials are used to engage patients at their bedsides, and to help celebrate developmental milestones.

Michelle Tafoya, senior director of development at ٺƵ Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network at ٺƵ Health, along with her team, manage the program each year, with support from Crowdfund ٺƵ.

“Each year we receive crucial support from ٺƵ employees on both sides of the causeway,” she said. “That support has gotten us to the point where we can actually have materials in stock for the kids year-round. And that’s huge for the kids. It has really been a game-changer.”

Gifts will support the Child Life program at the hospital, clinics, and the MIND Institute. Last holiday season, the project raised almost $29,000 to support these children during the holidays and throughout the year. This year they are hoping to increase that amount.
