Wine, Beer and Cola Execs Featured in Robert Mondavi Institute Lectures

Nov. 9, Thursday -- Three leaders from the beverage industry will be featured speakers during the 2006 Fall Lectureship Series, sponsored by the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ. The guest lecturers will be Don Short, president of the Coca-Cola Beverage Institute for Health and Wellness; Tom Shipley, senior director of global industry development for Anheuser Busch Companies Inc.; and Clay Gregory, president of Jackson Family wineries. Short will discuss "Making Lemonade -- Version 21.0: 21st Century Health and Wellness"; Shipley will talk about "Our Case for Beer: How the 'Here's to Beer' Campaign Is Elevating and Enhancing the Image of Beer"; and Gregory's presentation will be on "Jackson Family Wines: A Family-Owned Wine Company in the Age of Consolidation." These public lectures will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the Studio Theatre of the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. They will be followed by luncheon in the performing arts center's Rumsey Rancheria Grand Lobby. The lectures and lunch are free and open to the public.
