The Davis campus joined thousands of worksites around the country last Thursday (April 28) in celebrating Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. More than 400 employees and their children or other young guests participated.

“It was lots of fun and a nice way for ٺƵ to recognize and honor employees who juggle work and family responsibilities,” said Sandy Batchelor, coordinator for WorkLife, part of Human Resources.

Not to mention giving the children a wonderful introduction to the university, by welcoming them to more than two dozen activities, seven more than last year. With a theme of “Sparking Aha! Moments,” this year’s program included activities in agriculture, chemistry, anthropology, entomology, wildlife and fish biology, and university operations ranging from police and fire to Unitrans.

More than 150 children had $2 lunches at the Dining Commons — giving the boys and girls a complete ٺƵ experience.
