ºÙºÙÊÓƵ Celebrates Biodiversity Museum Day Feb. 17

The Sacramento region is invited to explore the diversity of life during  on Saturday, Feb. 17. The event, set from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is free and open to the public.

Displays at 13 museums and collections on campus will range from dinosaur bones, praying mantises and hawks to honey bees, California condor specimens and carnivorous plants. Last year's event drew more than 4,000 visitors. 

The day celebrates scientific connections between people, animals and the environment, and the work that we do at ºÙºÙÊÓƵ to sustain a healthy planet.

Biodiversity Museum Day a family friendly event

This is a family friendly, science-based event, says Biodiversity Museum Day Chair Tabatha Yang, education and outreach coordinator for the .

All 13 museums or collections are within walking distance on the central campus except for the on Bee Biology Road, west of Highway 113, and the Raptor Center on Old Davis Road, south of Interstate 80.
