Progress Report on Recovery from SmartSite Outage

Leaders of Undergraduate Education and Information and Educational Technology provided this update today (May 26) on the continuing SmartSite outage:

We write with this update on efforts to help the campus continue its recovery from the SmartSite outage.

Progress continues on the Web interface to access grades. We expect that it will be available Friday (May 27).

Campus officials sent the following messages to faculty and students Tuesday night (May 24) to update them on the continuing SmartSite outage and the steps being taken by Undergraduate Education and Information and Educational Technology:

UPDATED: SmartSite Remains Offline

Update 1:30 p.m. May 23 from IET's TechNews:

Scriba, which hosts the SmartSite learning management system for �ٺ��Ƶ, missed its deadline of restoring the service by 11 a.m. today after taking it offline late on May 20 for emergency maintenance.

As of 1:30 p.m. today, Scriba had not said when it expects SmartSite to be restored. �ٺ��Ƶ is pressing the company for answers, including when it will implement its backup restoration plans if the outage continues.
