You may like ParkMobile as an alternative to annual parking permits — with ParkMobile, we pay (via the app or online) only on the days we drive to campus — but you probably don’t like it so much when you forget to pay and get slapped with a $55 citation.

Updated 1:20 p.m. Jan. 5 to reflect Transportation Services' announcement today that two of the changes announced for Jan. 1 have been delayed: parking reminder alerts from ParkMobile, gently reminding you to pay before walking to your workplace; and event parking at reduced rates for �ٺ��Ƶ affiliates.

Stack Parking: A Temporary Solution for Full Lots

As empty parking spaces become harder to find at �ٺ��Ƶ, transportation officials are readying a stopgap while they plan new ways to encourage faculty, staff and students to take alternative transportation.

“As the campus population grows, more people are likely to drive unless we develop additional incentives that support our customers’ needs,” said Cliff Contreras, director of Transportation Services, or TAPS.
