Erica Kohl-Arenas has been selected to lead Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life, it was announced by IA and the University of California, Davis. Imagining America, a civic-engagement consortium of more than 100 academic institutions and cultural organizations, will move its national headquarters to �ٺ��Ƶ in the summer of 2017.

Its amenities include practice rooms, two harpsichords and 399-seat Recital Hall, but the Ann E. Pitzer Center isn’t just for music majors.

“This beautiful new facility will enrich teaching and learning — not only for music students, but also for students from across the campus who will take classes here,” said Susan Kaiser, interim dean of the Division of Humanities, Arts and Cultural Studies. “Exposing them to music is a vital part of the campus.”
