West Sacramento Testing Site a New Option for �ٺ��Ƶ Employees and Students

Healthy Yolo Together — which, like its sister organization, Healthy Davis Together, operates in partnership with �ٺ��Ƶ — opened a COVID-19 testing site in West Sacramento this week.

And, come next week, officials said, �ٺ��Ƶ employees and students who visit the site should be able to have their test results entered into the Health-e-Messaging portal automatically.

We want to begin this update by acknowledging that the last few weeks have been extraordinarily challenging for all of us. New difficulties have arrived on the heels of an already-painful academic year and then a brief period during which our hopes soared as COVID infection rates plummeted. Together, we breathed a collective sigh of relief — though, given that we were often part of large groups, we did so behind face coverings and at a safe distance from neighbors and friends.

With coronavirus cases falling in California, the state reopened June 15 and the Davis campus followed up Friday (June 18) with an email to all academics and staff about pandemic protocols that remain in place or have been revised, and the systemwide vaccination mandate that will take effect July 15.

Masks, Distancing Still Required on Campus

The state of California officially “reopened” today (June 15), lifting many COVID-19 restrictions for the general public. However, the Davis campus of the University of California still has its rules in place — which means, for now, face coverings and physical distancing are required.
